Welcome to the the medieval battle re-enactment and memory project!

What is this study about?

This is a study on memory – specifically, we would like to see how well you do on a paired-word test. Engaging in sports at a hobby level can be a way to engage in health-promoting behaviours, as well as providing a necessary sense of community.

We are excited to see whether there is any link between medieval battle re-enactment and memory, as there has been little research on the benefit of hobby-level sports on cognition. This is where you come in – by taking part in our simple online test, you can help a growing network of memory research and be part of something bigger!

Anyone over 18 can participate, even if you are not involved in medieval battle re-enactment, no matter how good or bad you believe your memory to be.

Please feel free to get in contact with the researchers if you have any further questions prior to or after completing the study, at Abbie Furniss (afurn004@gold.ac.uk), Dr Ashok Jansari (a.jansari@gold.ac.uk) or access ARTLab to learn more about our further research.

To get started first tell us whether you are a new participant, or a returning participant.
